Redhead Trade In

Your old REDHEAD Driver from Doctor Birdie.com - no matter how old, and no matter what condition - is always worth $150.00 in trade for a new REDHEAD at Doctor Birdie.

Call it Golf Driver insurance if you want to. But it is two point insurance:
#1. Insurance that guarantees if you break it, run over it with a golf cart (or steam roller for that matter), close your trunk lid on it, whatever, it is worth $150.00 toward a new REDHEAD.
#2. Whenever a new REDHEAD might be introduced, you can trade in yours and get $150.00 for it toward a new one.

Why would we do this??

Reason #1
Let's say you break your REDHEAD. Then you use it for a $150.00 trade in toward a new one. If it is in OK shape, we donate it to a worthwhile cause. If it is broken, we'll repair it if it is "fixable" and donate it to a worthwhile cause. If it's not fixable, we'll still take it in trade for $150.00. If you just want a shiny new REDHEAD, OK - your old one is worth $150.00 in trade. Anytime.

Reason #2
The head of the REDHEAD Driver is designed, engineered and manufactured by DeTomaso Golf. DeTomaso Golf will only introduce a new design when it is completely perfected and only if the new design is a substantial improvement.

At Doctor Birdie, we will not even consider offering a new club head unless it is a proven advance. Then we have to prove it to ourselves. That is one of the reasons we enjoy working with the smaller, more advanced club design and engineering companies.

But down the road, it could happen. A new way to achieve a higher moment of inertia, or significant weight dispersion improvement, or a new major improvement in design.

If it does happen, and if you want a new one, you get $150.00 toward it by trading in your REDHEAD if you want to.

What's in it for us

We sell a ton of REDHEAD Drivers every year just because some guy saw some other guy using a REDHEAD and getting great results. So we get a bunch of orders that way.

It is to our advantage to keep as many REDHEAD Drivers out on golf courses as we possibly can. It just makes sense.

Here is how it works:

With your REDHEAD from Doctor Birdie.com, you will get a "Trade-in Certificate". When you are ready for a new REDHEAD, go ahead and order it online from us. It will show at full price. In the Comments Section of the order process, simply enter your Trade-in Certificate number. It will still show at full price but we will refigure it by hand and we will subtract the $150.00.

If you lose the Trade in Certificate can you still get a trade in? Yes, but you will get $140.00 because we will have to take the time to find your original order. If you can't find your Trade-in Certificate, just write "REDHEAD Trade" in the Comments Section of the order process. We will refigure your order and give you the $140.00 Trade-in.

When your New REDHEAD arrives, use the box it came in, put your old REDHEAD in it and send it back to us. We do not charge you full price for your new REDHEAD and then process a $150.00 refund when your old one gets here. Number one - we trust you and number two - that's too much extra work. We are professional club builders, not professional ledger keepers.

What if you bought a REDHEAD from us three or four or five years ago? We did not have this trade-in program back then.

NO PROBLEM! You get the same trade-in as if you bought it today! Order a new REDHEAD and write "REDHEAD Trade" in the comments section of the order. We refigure your price and subtract the $150.00.

Same procedure. When your new REDHEAD arrives, put your old one in the box and send it back.

That's about as straightforward as we can be with this. It's fair and it'll work.
